I don't know. Yet people do trust them to represent Jesus to the world.
They do represent Jesus to the world...
That Jesus is the greco roman latin version washed of all things Torah..
And christendom aligns behind that jesus..
That Jesus was born on December 25.
That Jesus was killed on Good Friday
That Jesus was raised on Easter Sunday.
scripture tells us the Messiah was born on a New Moon Day ( Rev 12)
scripture tells us the Messiah laid His life down on the Feast of Passover.
scripture tells us the Messiah was raised on the Feast of First Fruits.
Jesus, as catholics worship and teach, has no ties to the New Moons, Sabbaths and Feasts that were fulfilled literally by the Messiah of Israel in scripture. (One can see that just in when Israel celebrates their feasts)
Instead, the catholic church has come up with their own holy days that are used ‘instead of’ or ‘in place of’ those in Torah.
The concordance I have shows that the Greek word ‘anti’ (as in Antichrist), can mean ‘instead of’ or ‘in place of’.
If that doesn’t describe the greco roman latin mother’s savior using sola scriptura, I don’t know what does..
Christnedom may be far closer to ‘sola popa’ than they want to admit..
And wouldn’t that be a gut punch to those christians who hate the popa or his office.
But after all, the world runs on a calendar named for a pope so maybe the entire world is more sola popa than it cares to admit..
