Old news, it’s been out for a while.
Wonder when she herself will announce a “lifestyle choice”...
I don’t think she disgraces anyone. She’s simply displaying ignorance, which is the common condition of the young.
When I was much younger, I supported “gay rights,” too. It was a thoughtless position of, “Just let everyone do what they want.”
“As a married person myself, I dont know what its like to be told I cant marry somebody I love, and want to marry.”
So you should be able to marry your mom? Sister? Another womans Husband? A 12 year old boy?
Is there no limit to the freakshow as long as you “Love and want to marry”?
Good, I hope she loses fans.
She may disappoint Christians everywhere, but she only disgraces herself.
Carrie who?
Amy Grant is another.
Who is stopping homos from being together? I just wish our side would reject the narrative of the homosexual marriage activists. Gays are free to shack up and do whatever the Hell they want, they just can’t “marry”.
Country music started sucking years ago. It’s now just a bunch of rock and roll liberals.
Tell me one “superstar” who isn’t for gay marriage. No, Kirk Cameron does not count.
Jesus Christ, Superstar. --- OK, I know. ('
Allure magazine set her up with a trick question. She should have terminated the interview immediately. No matter how she answered she was going to upset somebody.
Trying to give a political answer she stepped right into the trap.
She is a musician, so what difference does it make? If you like her music listen, if you don't, don't.
She’s still around? The 80’s ended long ago
Fwiw, I’m not a fan of Carrie Underwood. The only song of hers that I can say I like is “Wasted.”
In her industry, all ‘successful’ people are given a choice. Toe the gay agenda line or your career ends.
The music business and Hollywood are tied at the hip in that regard and Nashville in 2014 is no different. Musicians who speak out pro gay are rewarded and musicians who speak out anti gay have their careers ended. They are blacklisted.
The business (as true with all the ‘arts’) is filed with homosexualists top to bottom, from front offices to engineering. It is very much Lavender Mafia there right on down the line.
Now quite possibly she was pro gay to begin with. I dunno. But as an indy, Katy Perry did a song called ‘U R so Gay. Her breakout hit was of course “I kissed a girl” And suddenly she was the toast of LA and the musical world.
Good things miraculously happened to her career when she ‘got her head right’.
Celebrities readily abandon Christian ideals so that the media will like them.
What if someone really loved two people? Shouldn’t they be allowed to marry both of them? What if someone really loved their dog and wanted to marry it?
Hey Carrie, what if you love a goat?
As I have grown in my faith, I have come to realize that it is not about religion but relationship. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what I believe truly defines a person and how we find eternal significance. Everything else fades away and becomes wood, hay and straw. Sometimes its very humbling to realize that we are here today and gone tomorrow. I find true comfort in God's grace, knowing that I fall short in many ways, but He's always there for me through the good times and bad - no matter what.
So... Since Carrie's husband would seem to consider himself to be a Christ follower and in view of Carrie's position, it begs the question of what did Jesus think of homosexuality?
Matthew 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female
Matthew 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Mark 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
