The Word is not some-THING but some-BODY. The sooner protestants can get their mind right with this fundamental Truth the better off they'll be.
Jesus is not the Bible. One could be forgiven for thinking protestants worship a book and not Christ.
Jesus gave us His Word so we'd have a record of the things we need to know about Him.
The Word is both. It is the written Word of God. It is also the Christ...as in the beginning was the Word....
Ephesians 6:17 "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God"
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart"
Revelation 1:16 "And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."
Revelation 2:16 "Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."
Revelation 19:15 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
Hopefully this isn't just another 'mother of God' thing but the above verses (assuming they're talking about the same "two edged sword") make it sound as though Jesus is coming out of Jesus mouth.
That accusation is quite a stretch, even for pagan-Catholics!
We strive to worship and obey Jesus.
We don't chase after demons disguised as angels of light or pagan goddess figures.
We don't desecrate dead bodys nor kiss decayed, rotting corpses in vain necromantic attempts to cultivate favor with the dead.
We remember that (John 1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
We do not “worship” a “book.” We love our Lord and we read His word to know Him.
Catholics don't understand this because they choose not to hear Him. They attack any who endeavor to follow Him and instead attempt to drag believers away from Him and into their detestable practices.
