Next time you look at the monstrance with its sunburst think Babylonian sun god. Next time you see a priest wear that mitre that looks like an open fish mouth think priests to Dagon the fish god. When you see the crescent moon think babylonian pagan moon goddess. Wonder why statues of Mary often have her above the crescent moon? I could go on and on. The Catholic Church readily admits where much of their rituals, vestments, and practices come from.

next time, try reading why and using some logic, and none of what you mention is used in the daily liturgy/mass. where was your “religion” 1500 years ago?
