Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

Like non-Catholics do?
Mary doesn't even have a headache!!!!
Good stuff!
Hail, full of grace THE LORD IS WITH THEE...pretty much spells it out to me since the angel was announcing that she was with child (That would be Jesus you know)
eimi - Definition: I am, exist.
1510 eimí (the basic Greek verb which expresses being, i.e. "to be") am, is.
Note there is no beginning or end. The apostles did not initiate. It already existed. It had been known forever in heaven. As I said, the apostles simply ddclare d what already existed.
correct....so believe Him when He says THIS IS MY BODY....what part of that confuses you????
Well, then, maybe you should stop posting stupid threads!
Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God:
That's why I don't incorporate paganism like the Catholic Church admits they do. I use all the scriptures God preserved for all generations as He promised.

Parts of the Catholic Church (such as the "Greek Byzantine Catholic Church" (which is in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church) use the Byzantine liturgical rite in the biblical Koine Greek and modern Greek languages, and their membership includes inhabitants of Greece (as well as other countries).
Do you think they might know a wee bit of that "Greek"?
a couple of things come to mind, how about "I will give you the keys to the kingdom of Heaven"...or what you bind on Earth will be bound in Heaven and whet you shall loose...etc.
Glad they do....but what about Rome?
she is our saviors mom....due a lot of respect...we know who Jesus is, we wrote a pretty good book about Him called the bible...
Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. It is future, anticipating some act of forbidding or permitting (binding/loosing). But as the act occurs in the future, the perfect indicates that the binding or loosing was already accomplished in the past, previous to the future act. The passive simply indicates the thing being bound or loosed is the passive recipient of the action.
(:D
Cathoics have been following Christ for 1,600 years before there was a protestant....we have ALWAYS led people to Christ, it was the "reformation" that decided to lead people away from the truth.....PERIOD.
Thank you for posting that. I’m stuck on my phone since my computer died and don’t have access to many of my files.
Please show where that “full of grace” is found in the original Greek.
what part of that confuses you????
