Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

not paeticularily, but we also refrain from cutting out sections of the bible that we don't agree with...
Who says they are two different things?
What if Jesus appeared to you and said to repent from those practices and follow only Him; how would you respond?
I would say, "Get away from me, Satan."
Other Tradition(s) regarding teachings necessary for salvation are the Seven Sacraments, most of which the Catholic Church posits as normative for salvation.
Jesus said - “I am The Way, The Truth and The Light; no one comes to The Father except through Me.” He didn’t mention any “Traditions” or “Sacraments.”
How about the thief on the cross; did he get an express run through these “traditions?” Afterall, Jesus promised the thief he would join Him in Paradise.
17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.
When Jesus said this, the only “Church” was the Synagogue. Catholics claim they were “founded” by Jesus through Peter in or near 33AD.
Clearly Jesus did not specify the Catholic Church.
Nice, but can you put it on a cereal box? Retorts are so much more convincing when they are on a cereal box.
tc:”strange statement in that you have scripture thanks to Catholics saving it andd hand copying it and protecting it for over 2,000 years....they were the only ones there”
And the above statement is a shining example of why Catholics have zero credibility when discussing Scripture.
The RCC “ the only ones there”????????
For over TWO thousand years.......
Thank you for that admission of what we have been saying about Catholicism and Mary, that she is a co-redeemer and Catholics trust her for salvation.
Way to spit in the face of Jesus and say His work on the cross wasn't adequate.
Christ on HIS terms is the way to go through life and is a guarantee of Heaven.
The people who wrote the Bible are dead now.
Not one of them is still alive on this earth to tell us what they meant when they wrote it.
Anyone else, no matter if they are allegedly in line from the apostles or not, have to interpret it because they could not have written it.
No one alive almost 2,000 years later can honestly and with integrity, make the claim of having written the Bible.
Of course none of that blather about Mary transforming anything has happened yet.
Not surprised......
Where were you guys when the Holy Spirit passed out understanding???
Busy cavorting with dead bodies and praying to man-made idols.
What desperation when Catholics resort to appealing to the much maligned and hated Luther.
saat thanks Catholics, we provided that bible for you to read....I hope that you have the unabridged,Catholic, version of it...
Facts won’t work with the mind controlled.
They know what they believe and that’s that.
That's a relief. For a moment I was concerned that support meant, "Join Pastor Hagee and CUFI or you're an anti-Semite.
True, we don’t believe that.
Nor do we believe a whole slew of things that we are misrepresented as believing.
But they’d have nothing to work with without their strawmen to knock down.
how many does it take for you to get the idea???
I’m sure you were. Then ignore when He later said it was not the flesh that mattered.
