It’s not the beads Gerry, it’s the prayers you pray. The beads help you remember when to say them. It does quiet the mind. I know.

It also lowers blood pressure from what I’ve been told.

Prayer and meditation does lower my blood pressure, and I manage to do it without beads ... imagine that.

Prayer and mastication: chew each bite carefully thirty times.

Was wondering if you were a Statler Brother fan. Remember their album with the church sign that said something about a “Church dinner on Tuesday Prayer and medication to follow”

Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your perspective), I have been an aficionado of classical music all my life and am not familiar with the Statler Brothers. Mayhap I should broaden my musical horizons.

>> an aficionado of classical music

Okay, trivia question for fun: Regarding the sound track covering the SAS mission from Patriot Games; what movement does it plagiarize?

A related and more obscure trivia question hinting the epoch: What did the composer think of Bernstein’s interpretation of the same composition?

I was just listening to a very simple composition meant for beginners. I was written hundreds of years ago. The Praeludium 1st movement, piano by J.S. Bach. It’s a simple vehicle that takes you throughout the entire scale and tonality structure. I’m untrained, but I love this piece and can listen to it at each day’s end. I like watching someone play it on youtube.

The beads aren’t necessary at all. I have five digits on each hand, so it’s actually easier to pray the prayers of the Rosary without beads. It’s not that complicated.
