The Vatican denied Pope Francis had dismissed a controversial Paraguayan bishop because of his mishandling of sex abuse accusations, attributing the decision instead to other failings of governance and friction with fellow bishops.

No, what’s reckless is Francis.
It is illegality in the election, not the defects of the man, that make a pseudo-Pope.
Did Yashua use telephones?
- St Robert Bellarmine
In his charity, JimRob, did set-up a Religious Forum. Did you somehow drunkenly wander into it? Or do you seek every opportunity to blame every perversion of Pope Francis' chosen henchmen and his policies on your imagined gremlins?
It seems every time you enter the religious forum you bring up your gremlins out of thin air. My how they haunt you.
Finally please identify one poster one this thread whom you know is a "SSPXer".
“A Pope who is a manifest heretic ceases to be Pope.”
There’s your major premise.
“Francis is a manifest heretic.”
There’s your minor premise. It needs to be established.
I have dislike Francis since the night he came out on the balcony looking joyless and sullen, and then KNELT FOR A BLESSING. That reminded me of all the creepy things people do in church “because the children like it.” Like laypeople “blessing” children at Communion time.
I can’t, offhand, name anything Francis has done that I didn’t find creepy and offensive.
But the words “manifest” and “heretic” have definitions.
I am interested in any evidence you think you can point to that he is a truly manifest heretic.
You are forgetful. I usually engage you over your obvious resentment of St. John Paul the Great. I certainly believe that Bergoglio was validly elected as pope. That does not mean that I agree with the tone of his papacy. That does not mean that I view him as other than the mistake of Conclave 2013. I suspect that the Pope Chatty Cathy I act with the media will wear thin either with the actually faithful or even with the media when he has adequately served their purposes. He is apparently going to turn 78 years of age later this year about eight days before Christmas. He has only one lung. He reflects publicly on his own mortality. I imagine that most of the cardinal electors of 2013 are going to have another chance to get this right. Bergoglio was a considerably more conservative archbishop in Argentina than he has been as pope.
The SSPX sycophants are a matter of concern only insofar as they impersonate Catholics in the public square when they are in schism. In fact, to hear the SSPX tell it, THEY are the Church and the Vatican is in schism from them.
The Eastern Orthodox are also in schism for a considerably longer time than is likely to be given to the SSPX schism. The Eastern Orthodox are nothing if not dignified and genuinely principled in their conduct. SSPX? Not so much on both counts.
SSPX and its sympathizers are to the Roman Catholic Church not even gremlins but rather a relative handful of malcontents chewing on their old slippers compulsively in their attacks on the Church.
If JimRob "in his charity" were to set up a subforum for discussions of whether the 1960s Ford 427 dual overhead cam engine or the Chevy 427 or the Mopar 426 Hemi was the superior engine, that would not make this site a gearhead site. Obvious analogy to the Religion Forum.
You want to impeach the Pope? It won’t happen. I wasn’t crazy about him from the beginning, but we’re stuck with him until he croaks. As corrupt at leftists are, I hope they don’t do too much damage. Hey, if they can Fr. Phleger, why can’t we have a recalcitrant, disobedient priest or two on our side?
I have already stated to you that I attend FSSP Masses. Not SSPX.
Your continuous insinuation that I’m affiliated with the SSPX, however, is not unexpected, nor appreciated.
P.S. In my opinion, many criminal defense lawyers are trained liars who will distort/misrepresent/hide facts to their own advantage.
I’m glad you’re retired.
If someone harbored Charles Manson and his pals and knew or should have known that Manson and his pals had committed the Tate-LaBianca murders, the law has a name for those harboring Manson and pals: accessories after the fact. Such accessories are also guilty of the Manson murders. The issue is not whether Fellay, Williamson, deGallarata and de Mallerais hand out membership cards but whether folks give them aid and comfort after their commission of ecclesiastical crimes.
If you wish not to be classed with schismatics, you would be well advised not to rise so consistently to their defense. If SSPX had been a bright idea, the FSSP would not exist. After all, the FSSP originally consisted only of priests, formerly of SSPX. who knew that it was time to leave the schism and come home to Rome.
I am glad that I am retired but for entirely different reasons.
Then stay off the Religion Forum and the Chevy/Ford Forum. Really, it's that simple.
The only one to classify me as a schismatic seems to be you. And how is posting this article a rise to anybody's defense?
As a lawyer, I would think you'd be aware of the term, "libel".
This article has nothing to do with your gremlins.
No worries, I know a few good men. All of them are Catholics, yet none of them worship popes.
No. I was merely pointing out that if someone (another FReeper) was going to claim that Francis is a “pseudo-Pope” then it has to be established that either the conclave was conducted in an invalidating manner, or it has to be demonstrated that the Pope has become manifestly heretical.
I don’t think there’s any evidence for either. I think that the facts will take us only this far: The Pope is doing a lousy job. He is listening to and elevating the worst bishops (O’Malley, Dolan, Wuerl, and others) and persecuting the best and most faithful (Burke and others).
Your pattern of posting such articles and pattern of consistent hostility to Saint John Paul the Great are also noted.
If you wish, I can probably re-constitute the TdTGC. Ninenot no longer is involved here since the retirement of many of your predecessors but others remain.
My point was merely to show you that there are other ways that a pope can be a pseudo-pope. You stated that only an issue with the election could cause it. That is wrong.
I was a kid during his papacy, but I don't remember much. I only know him for "Humanae Vitae," for which I'm eternally grateful. What was he like?
Weak.
There was ONE bishop in the United States who taught Humanae Vitae without equivocation: Patrick A. O’Boyle, Archbishop of Washington.
Fifty-two priests (including Curran) signed a statement dissenting from HV. O’Boyle suspended all of them, including his own confessor, Horace McKenna, SJ.
The case eventually went to Rome. Rome lifted all the suspensions, without requiring any retraction. Within several years, most of the fifty-two priests had left the priesthood.
This cave-in on Humanae Vitae was engineered by the notorious homosexual, Cardinal John Wright. His secretary was the notorious homosexual, Donald Wuerl.
