More Homosexual Groups Seek Entry in New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade

Homosexual activists in New York are pressing organizers of the St. Patrick's Day parade to include more gay-rights groups in the march.

Following up on last week's announcement that Out@NBCUniversal would be allowed to enter the 2015 parade, a group called Irish Queers announced on September 9 that it was applying for a place in the parade. "We want to march up Fifth Avenue as an Irish diaspora that has finally joined Ireland in rejecting religion-fueled bigotry," said a spokesman.

This is about making themselves look larger than they really are.

(aside: unfortunate phrase to use, but it fits)

Most Americans aren’t aware of the 1.5% figure. They think it is much higher than it actually is. Having more groups march reinforces the perception of inflated numbers.

Reminds me of those old USSR May Day parades when the Sovs would make ur look like they had much more equipment than they did by having what they had (airplanes, tanks, missiles) take multiple trips past the Red Square grandstand.

This has been the country’s oldest and grandest parade, even ante-dating the Declaration of Independence. It really is not a parade, though, in the strict military (formal British) sense of the word. It is more correctly described as a religious procession.

Now the times, and the semantics, have changed. The current tax-exempt status of the event seems to open the “back door” for the homosexual activists to crash the party. If it is a public religious procession, then the homosexual inclusion trumpets blasphemy.

If the parade becomes a private religious procession, however, it will surrender its tax-exempt status and likely lose much public and municipal support. As a private event, though, I think that any blasphemous elements could be excluded.

This is why they were put in the closet. When out, the drama QUEENS trample over others and make it ALL ABOUT THEM.

I wonder if we could gather up enough snakes to chase them all into the Hudson? I rather like the symbolism.

DeBlasio’s wife was lesbian for years. Now she’s straight.
More proof that someone is no more born homosexual than the man in the moon.

Agree,Hope the majority of participants cancel. Next it will be to get rid of the “Saint” as be non inclusive of all religions and will be called Patricks parade or something equally awful.

Suggestions:
a. Wearin' o' the green parade
b. Paddy's parade
c. Erin go bragh or rather Éirinn go Brách ( Ireland forever) parade

You know the four original languages of Europe were Greek, Latin, German and Celt (Kelt). Celtic got pushed farther and farther west until it ended up, and stayed, in Ireland. No one else speaks it any more. The other languages of Europe are all from Greek, Latin and German.

What you people never consider is that a whole lot bigger percentage of the population is steeped in sexual immorality and this subgroup is just that. The larger hoard welcome the homosexuals and appreciate the cover. Who are they to condemn.

"You people"?? I am only ONE.
We I don't condone the bigger percentage either. AA and other groups have been around for a LONG time to help them stop the drinking. Ditto for drugs. AT LEAST this country realizes the dangers of drinking and drugs.

As for STD's, our country met THAT disaster head on 50 years ago. "We people" aren't blind or stupid. And neither am I so please try to forgo the seemingly deprecating tone.

The homosexuals CHOSE to be what they are and don't consider it immoral. However THEY know that every culture in the world has condemned it. So they KNOW its wrong.
They CHOOSE that particular sin like all the others choose their particular sin(s). You never see ME talk about it in ANY other terms but SIN terms.

That homosexuality (also bisexuality and asexuality) is abysmally abnormal is yet another facet of the sin.

Any time homosexual are allowed to march in a parade they turn it into an orgy of debauchery. Half naked men will be simulating having sex with other perverts and if any little kids are watching the parade that is exactly what they will witness. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade should be discontinued. It’s nothing anymore. And Dolan should be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

I'm with you. DUMP the parade.
Archbishop Dolan UNDOUBTEDLY had NO SAY in who would be in the parade. After all, it's a public affair, using public streets, barriers, transit cops, guards, rerouting ALL public transit, etc. UNDOUBTEDLY, THAT is how the homosexuals got entry into the parade in the first place.

So, before you condemn Dolan to excommunication you might think of writing him and telling him to just CANCEL the whole thing: NO MORE ST. PATRICK'S PARADES, EVER. THAT would make FAR more sense that trying to play the political games of WHO gets to be in the parade.

Those who want to celebrate St. Patrick can have a block party somewhere or have a HUGE blow-out at Yankee Stadium.

If it's a PRIVATE affair then RULES can be made. The homosexuals would stay home.
GO AHEAD, WRITE TO HIM. There is a "contact" button on their website.

All true what you say.
The number is .5 - 1.5 %. There may be as few at 1/2 of a percent.

Any American with brains can GOOGLE those factoids, IF they really care to know. I DID want to know. It's not rocket science.
Hah, that's the best part about us. AmerI CAN!
