let me ask you this...

if God were to suddenly appear before you right now...

what would you do? fall on your knees and start worshiping him?

(this is what you said you think he wants us to do)

so .. now your on you knees or possibly completely flat and prostrated....

according to you ... this is what God wants us to do...

so...

I guess your God would just stand there and say something to the effect of... that's right! WORSHIP ME!

personally I would like to think God would prefer a hug, and a tearful thank you from the bottom of my heart than me lying their worshiping him.

and I think if one were to start worshiping him as you suggested he wishes, the first thing he would do would be to pick you up off the ground just as he did the prostitute.

Let's see what happened when Jesus appeared to John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, on the island of Patmos.

Revelation 1:10-17 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

If anyone knew Jesus, it was John. If anyone was in a position to give him a great big hug, it was John.

If you think you're going to do better than that when you come face to face with a holy God, you are deluded.
