Have you noticed that the word lust is being purged from the Bible?
The Greek word for lust (epithemia) points to inner sin thirty-four times in the New Testament. In the vast majority of these places it has traditionally been properly translated as lust or the archaic and more precise word, concupiscence.

Unfortunately, modern translations, such as the New International Version (NIV) are abandoning the word lust....

The Seven Deadly Sins (or Vices) we know today were defined in the 6th century by Pope Gregory the Great, as a set of negative values: the values that you are supposed to adopt is that you will avoid these things and actually adopt their opposites.
It is the nature of man to believe the lies of Satan. The difference is that some of us now see through the eyes of the Spirit. But we are opposed to the spirit of the age. It will soon be as in the time of Noah when every thought of every man was on evil continually. It is already happening in many places.
I don’t know the Osteens, but the same lies inhabit most pulpits today. Churches have become self help programs.
Who needs the Great Physician when you can have a little physician who can make you feel good rather than ask that you admit your own depravity and beg for salvation?
Humility has never been in fashion.
Satan is called "The Father Of Lies" but I think the great evil is that Satan doesn't lie - he gets you to lie to yourself.
Hey...they’ve stopped preaching to repent long ago, sinfulness is out, so why bother with lust? Let’s just be happy because God loves us. /sarc
