Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In my study for today, I found one reference to the Rooster, and it is this painful story from the Gospel.

It is easy to scorn Peter, in this horrible scene. After all, he had boasted to his Master that he would follow Him ANYWHERE, even if he would have to die with Him. Yet, here he was, denying Him, and probably would have kept on doing so had not the Rooster crowed!

Secular drug and rehab programs often state that recovery is not possible until the client has "Hit Bottom". That is the signal that begins the journey back to healing. It is like the Crowing of the Rooster that snapped Peter back to his senses.

It is in our Human Nature to sin as long as we can get away with it. Thank God for the "Rooster" that God puts into our lives to "Wake Us Up" before it is too late.

So, “left that site,” what is that symbol, the horseshoe with the dot on top? It seems to be cropping up everywhere.

It is the Arabic symbol for “Nun” the letter “N”. ISIS has scrawled this symbol on the homes and property of Christians, so they know which homes contain people they can rape, behead, torture, and crucify. (It stands for “Nazarene”, which means ALL Christians, regardless of denomination)

I post it in solidarity with Christians in the Middle east, and to remind me to pray for them every time I see it.
