re: Well have to trust her for her testimony of faith. Now she needs to be taught whats in her Bible.
Exactly. She is a baby Christian. We often expect new believers who are in the public spotlight to be mature in the faith already. Those who are in her faith community have a responsibility to teach her the Bible. She has a responsibility to study it.
She also has a responsibility to shut up for awhile. If she accepted Christ less than a year ago, she has a duty not to present herself as authoritative because she isn't. Yet she takes advantage of that public position and in the process leads others to error.
It's one thing not to know or understand. It's quite another to promulgate your views when you can't even discern the truth.
Her position in media makes her an expert on nothing.
I think we've all seen that in action. They are so relieved to find one person...even if it's the village idiot...to swallow their bait.
Really don’t consider sexual immorality to be one of the finer points of doctrine. Pretty obvious. Until a few decades ago, there was no question even among heathen Americans.
She may or may not be a baby Christian. I’ve known a number of converts whose conversion lasted 1-2 years until they decided they would rather follow Buddha or be New Age or follow some other fad.
“Some of the seed fell among the rocks where there was not much soil, and sprang up very quickly because there was no depth of earth. But when the sun rose it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.” - Mark 4
I don’t expect the Holy Spirit to be able to instruct a new follower in EVERYTHING very quickly, but I think He is capable of keeping a new follower from promoting what is obviously Satanic and utterly unnatural.
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.
SHE has a Public platform and can lead many astray.
She says she is saved, we have NO idea if she is.
