Obviously angels do not marry.

Am I to extrapolate from this that angels cannot or do not mate?

I do not see it that way at all, in Gen 1 god did the planting.

Then what were all those birds and beasts of the field eating? I already gave you the reference. There were critters running around...

It is also possible that Genesis 2 could be telling it in a different way but either way I do not see that it happened in six of our days or even years but more like thousands or tens of thousands of years.

Why? Because 6 days is too implausible?

I don`t know what extrapolate means but since it is indicated in Mathew 22:30 that angels do not marry and also the fact that the scripture says sons of God and not angels I believe it is a pretty fair chance.

I did not see that scripture, maybe I just missed it, you can give it to me again if you like.

No, I don`t think that is it because I am aware that anything is possible with God.

It is just that I do not see it as literal.

Man calling it literal does not make it so no more than calling the sons of God angels makes them angels.
