If you guys want to house your bishops in multi-million dollar mansions, that's your business...It does sound as tho there are some Catholics who are not too excited about it...
I did read the article and was curious about something...A number of these bishops have 'priests' as their personal secretaries...A guy spends 8-12 years in school to become a secretary???Maybe I don't want to know what the job entails...

I think - and I expect Father Z would agree - that dioceses need to consider the facilities they own, including bishops’ residences, in light of their practical utility for the current apostolic needs of the diocese.
