Well, my old roomate, who has half Greek said that on Easter, the greeting is “He is risen!”. Not ‘happy Easter’. And you say it when you answer the phone or see people you know.

Yes, “He is risen!” and the response, “Risen indeed.” Our Greek FRiends even post in Greek.

That was the tradition. My Parish still uses it. If the priests would just read the words in the book, all would be well. They have a homily, the can say Good Morning there. Just my opinion.

I am LCMS Lutheran.
We say “He is Risen!” and the response is “HE IS RISEN INDEED!! HALLELUJAH!”
My poor bride was very confused the first Easter we spent with my family.
