George Soros Open Society Institute is most often blamed for attempting to neutralize the abortion issue for Catholics by donating large amounts of money to progressive organizations like Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to promote pro-choice politicians. Yet the recent attack on San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Codileone by Faithful America demonstrates that the real assault on the teaching authority of the Catholic Church is now coming from two gay billionairesTim Gill and Jon Strykerwho are doing everything they can to discredit Church teaching on sexual morality by directly attacking the Magisterium.
Unlike Soros, whose attack on the teachings of the Church was indirect and somewhat secretive, Strykers Arcus Foundation and the Gill Foundation have made their aims explicit in their grant making materials and on their IRS 990 reporting forms. In their 2012 filing to the IRS, the Arcus Foundation described itself as a private grantmaking foundation that supports nonprofit organizations around the world working in two areas: lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender human rights; and conservation of the worlds great apes.

They should stick to that.
Who are these guys? How’d they get to be billionaires?
Later in the article, it explains that this means creating a perceived alternate authority, "a counter-voice to the Catholic hierarchy", made up of self-identifying but otherwise non-practicing Catholics. IOW, something akin to Nancy Pelosi's claims that there are legitimate differences of opinion among Catholic authorities on these matters.
Oh sure, conserve the great ones. And what about the less distinguished apes?
Stryker earned his money the Democrat way, he inherited it.
The church desperately needs to separate itself from this malignant cancer, through several definite steps.
1) It must create a recognizable label for them, which makes it clear to both clergy and laity that they are *not* Catholic organizations, that they are in fact anti-Catholic organizations, and that Catholics must denounce and shun them as “hate” organizations.
2) With the endorsement of the church, a Catholic lay legal organization should file a federal lawsuit against them as a reverse class action group, based in their writings and actions as “defamation and calumny” of the church.
This lawsuit should seek to prohibit their use of the word “Catholic”, suggesting that they are officially recognized by the church; to prohibit any efforts they make to fund raise from Catholics, by this deception; and likewise to refrain from solicitation to recognized Catholic organizations, to include schools, health care, and public service organizations. Likewise, that even once they no longer call themselves Catholic, that because of past efforts to defraud, that they must include a prominent disclaimer on any solicitation, publication or press release.
Their billions won’t help them when they stand before Christ.
