What is the “accountable” age?

An absolutely set and defined age, or relative to observer?

The only absolute criteria, one signified and verifiable, is one preceded by an acceptance of Christ as savior and Lord.

It was left to the honesty of the person. The tradition was always around 12, but it would vary for those with conditions that would impact their lives, for example, someone life had left mentally incapable.
