The GOP just lost its only non-Christian in Congress

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's primary loss means Congress will soon say goodbye to its only Jewish Republican.

And not only that; it also means there will likely be no Republicans in Congress who profess to be anything other than a Christian.

According to data collected by the Pew Forum at the start of the 113th Congress last year, the GOP conference was 69 percent Protestant, 25 percent Catholic, 4 percent Mormon and 1 percent Orthodox Christian.

Cantor (Va.) was the only member of any other faith on the Republican side in either the House or the Senate -- out of 278 members. There are no non-religious Republicans in Congress either.

Funny, this wasn't an issue during the primary campaign. In fact I had no idea what Cantor's religious affiliation was.

Just why is it important now?

Cantor’s backers tried to paint both of his opponents as anti-semites.

There were whispers in 2000 when Cantor ran.

I dont think Cantor was involved. But his campaign people wanted to use the issue.

The libs are becoming quite entertaining with their multiple silly little explanations of why we are kicking RINO bu...er...Obamaholes out of office.

So they have played the “Jooooooos” card now.

Bwahahahaha.

Gruber On Chairman Cobb: “I’m sure he’d like the glory of continuing to be district chair and driving that big black SUV that’s parked out front with the VA7GOP license plate on it. Looks like a government Nazi car. Eric Cantor drives one. Secret Service drives them. Big black, you’ve seen it, obviously, in some kind of government film.”

He could have substituted Obama for Nazi. Nothing wrong with what was said but the Drifty Boys were on it.

I figured that he was Jewish because "cantor" was usually associated with Judaism. Remember Eddie Cantor?

From Wikipedia: Eddie Cantor, born Edward Israel Iskowitz, was an American "illustrated song" performer, comedian, dancer, singer, actor and songwriter. Wikipedia.

I used to see him in old movies. He was great.

3.The Faith and Family Alliance got nailed for a dirty mailer in June 2000. Sent out four days before the election, that mailer attacked Eric Cantor, who was running for the nomination for the House, accusing him of being a “millionaire lawyer” who “didn’t pay his own [taxes]. He got caught. He got fined. And he finally was forced to pay $31,527.17 in back taxes.” That along with a nasty anti-Semitic whisper campaign made for a truly nasty campaign against Cantor. The mailer was funded by Sen. Steve Martin (R-Chesterfield), who was running against Cantor.

Where was this nasty campaign if it existed?

Mormons believe that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers.
I can't think of how MORE WRONG they could be in every sense of the word.
They sure can't call themselves Christians.
