Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem;
Creatorem caeli et terrae.

Et in Jesum Christum,
Filium eius unicum, Dominum nostrum;
qui conceptus est
de Spiritu Sancto,
natus ex Maria virgine;
passus sub Pontio Pilato,
crucifixus, mortuus, et sepultus;
descendit ad inferos;
tertia die resurrexit a mortuis;
ascendit ad caelos;
sedet ad dexteram Dei Patris omnipotentis;
inde venturus est
iudicare vivos et mortuos.

Credo in Spiritum Sanctum;
sanctam ecclesiam catholicam;
sanctorum communionem;
remissionem peccatorum;
carnis resurrectionem;
vitam aeternam. Amen.

In English:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ,
his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived
by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
he will come again
to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen

And doesn’t God call all of his to himself?

If we only knew why some people choose not to answer his call.

I hate to disappoint you, but Catholicism is not a cult. Christ founded the Catholic Church on the Apostles, the first Bishops, giving them power and authority.

Exactly what happens to a non Catholic who has accepted Christ as their savior but doesn’t convert to Catholicism?

The first Bishops.

The FIRST Bishops.

When we look at the Catholic Bishops that exist now, it is clear that something went horribly, horribly wrong.

I cannot, in good faith, lead any unguided sheep I find to a Shepard that would gleefully guide them over a cliff into sin & ruin.

Cults always say they are not cults.

Could this read this way too?

HOWEVER, I have seen too much inconsistency in church doctrine vs. practice; history is rife with the abuses of the Catholic hierarchy Protestant practicioners.... (I could go on and on)

The Catholic Church does not support:
abortion
euthanasia
contraception
same sex marriage
embryonic stem cell research
in vitro fertilization

Then please take at look at how many Protestant sects support these fallacies.

Protestantism gave us abortion, artificial contraception, living together without being married, sexual promiscuity, not calling sin sin, as in homosexual “marriage”

Most of the time, I think you post some well thought out ideas. This one, however, is not one of them. I cannot buy it.

“Protestantism gave us abortion, artificial contraception, living together “

Are you speaking about France? Italy? Ireland? Central and/or South America?
Please be more specific.

I like your page, Unfortunately, I have to agree with it. We are screwed. I wish I could disagree with it, but I can’t.

Mark 9: …39But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40”For he who is not against us is for us. 41”For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.

If a Protestant truly comes to believe in that the Church has the fullness of Truth of course they must convert. But I would not want a Protestant to convert if they could not truly have faith in what the Church teaches.

We could argue quite a bit about what Christ intended when he ordained the first “bishops”.

But instead, shall we focus on how far the Catholic Church as an institution has fallen from those early Christian days?
