Gospel Jn 14:15-21
Jesus said to his disciples:
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always,
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept,
because it neither sees nor knows him.
But you know him, because he remains with you,
and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
In a little while the world will no longer see me,
but you will see me, because I live and you will live.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father
and you are in me and I in you.
Whoever has my commandments and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
Father Son and Holy Spirit.
Do you not believe in the Trinity?
Are you saying that you don’t believe in the Holy Spirit to guide you day by day?
So now can you go out and murder or commit adultery and every thing is OK with you and with God?
OSAS is a false doctrine. Why? Because we are all sinners.
BTW, your baptismal mark is still on your soul. You are still a Catholic. Were you also confirmed?
Yes, a Baptism of Desire.
Do you understand transubstantiation?
Trans=transfer
substantiation=substance
The substance of bread and wine is transferred into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
My favorite also.
“And those who are not completely sure of being saved might avail themselves of some assistance from the Blessed Virgin, who promised to St. Dominic that those who say the rosary frequently, meditating on the life, passion, and resurrection of the Savior, will receive the graces necessary for salvation at the time of their death”.
“you should attempt to be an educated Catholic and read the Bible”
I have read and reread the Bible many times over BEFORE I became a Catholic. Delve deep into scripture and no one on earth with a functioning brain can remain a protestant.
from the biblical accounts. they asked how THEY personally could be saved. not how “protestants” could be saved.
Paul's answer: God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:2-3).
The answer to sin is not, never has been, and never will be the law, for "by the law are the motions of sins" (Rom 7:5) because "the strength of sin is the law" (1 Cor 15:56).
The answer to sin and condemnation is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. The law causes sin and condemnation to defeat us. But grace cause us to defeat sin and condemnation. "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace" (Rom 6:14).
God the Father didn’t save the good souls from the Old Testament?
God the Holy Spirit won’t help save the good souls in the future?
You argument doesn’t include these, does it?
**There are only 5 uses of the word Priesthood in the new testament**
Why?
Because the word was omitted in many translations after the Reformation.
So are you saying that you are sinless like Jesus Christ? Even Paul sinned.
specifics?
Thanks, protestants are always asking me to post the scripture so I did likewise.
Here are all the occurrences of the word Priesthood in the

Now if perfection had been attainable through the levitical priesthoodfor the people received the law under this priesthoodwhat further need would there have been to speak of another priest arising according to the order of Melchizedek, rather than one according to the order of Aaron?

For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.
Again as with all discussions of the Bible it is my hope to have done well and not to have misapplied teachings therein.

I have given the text of each of the times used in the New Testament.
The result is that in under the the Gospels given by Christ and His Apostles all followers of Christ are a Royal Priesthood following the Unending High Priesthood of Christ.
I would have used the New American Bible on the Vatican website but it seems the concordance system is not functional at this time http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0839/_INDEX.HTM if you can get it to work please tell me how..
Since His body was holding the bread and holding the cup, it would seem obvious that bread and cup were symbols of the Body and blood. This is of course my personal view and the view of most Protestant faith.
Even the Roman Catholic faith seems have less than a simple Is means Is view.

At the heart of the Eucharistic celebration are the bread and wine that, by the words of Christ and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, become Christ’s Body and Blood. Faithful to the Lord’s command the Church continues to do, in his memory and until his glorious return, what he did on the eve of his Passion: “He took bread. . . .” “He took the cup filled with wine. . . .” The signs of bread and wine become, in a way surpassing understanding, the Body and Blood of Christ; they continue also to signify the goodness of creation. Thus in the Offertory we give thanks to the Creator for bread and wine,154 fruit of the “work of human hands,” but above all as “fruit of the earth” and “of the vine” - gifts of the Creator. The Church sees in the gesture of the king-priest Melchizedek, who “brought out bread and wine,” a prefiguring of her own offering.155
“The signs of bread and wine become, in a way surpassing understanding, the Body and Blood of Christ”
“Is” and “in a way” are not equals it would seem that the result is a symbol or representation at least to any identifiable means to mortals.
As with all discussions of the Bible it is my hope to have done well and not to have misapplied teachings therein.
