The most brilliant thing is that he does so without reference to the Catholic faith, the Bible or any other religious connection. This makes his argument all the stronger for he allows the facts to speak for themselves and never has to pose or get preachy.

There is a certain amount of merit to this kind of approach, but those who avoid the so-called "religious connect," I have always felt, do some damage to the scripture. Is not the Bible its own authority? And what difference does it make if we convince a person that homosexuality is disordered, if they are still not converted? The goal of our assault against the infidels should not be to get them to simply hold to a few of our positions, which might as well be described as political positions when detached from the context of Christianity. Our true goal should be evangelism, in bringing people to conversion entirely, going hand in hand with our war against abortion and homosexuality. Without the Holy Spirit, these people cannot even comprehend anything, and so would never side with us to begin with.

It is the overall rejection of the Scripture as the supreme authoritative source of spiritual truth and morality that allowed the pervasive and perverted propaganda of sodomy to be propagated.

If religious books are not widely circulated among the masses in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation. If truth be not diffused, error will be;

If God and His Word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain the ascendancy; If the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will;

If the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land, anarchy and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness will reign without mitigation or end." (Daniel Webster, as referenced by Tryon Edwards, “A Dictionary of Thoughts: Being a Cyclopedia of Laconic Quotations from the Best Authors of the World, Both Ancient and Modern ,“1908. p. 49 That is the earliest source I have found is from a compilation of quotes first published in 1908, and without details of when and where it was said.)

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. (Psalms 2:1-3)

The devil and this sodomite activists know the Scriptures are their primary obstacle, and thus have expended an inordinate amount of effect attempting to negate its condemnation of sodomy and to find sanction for the same, examined and much refuted here by the grace of God.

Lacking regeneration by which a souls is controlled from within, and is reflected in who he elected to control that which is without, man looks to a governmental power to define and regulate morality, which to a degree, is necessary and right, (Rm. 13:1-7) but unlike Scripture, than can change, and in general "if a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked." (Proverbs 29:12)

But there is room at the cross for who will come to God out of a broken heart and contrite spirit and come and believe and thus cleave to Christ to save them by His blood expense and credit, as damned+destitute sinners. Thanks be to God
