Lots of death penalty happening to real murdering criminals going on in Jesus’ day, and I think the only thing he ever said on it was:
....crickets....
Essentially, the government, and authorities over a man are appointed by God; so in essence, God has spoken, and has allowed the death penalty to be adjudicated, rendered, and carried out.
Now, that’s just the earthly version; the spiritual version is one in which Jesus has paid the price, and we can live with both Him and God for eternity. Or not - depending on your point of view.
