This is a remarkably offensive way to mischaracterize a man who agrees with you that jailing is a dubious way to deal with dopers. Why the hostility?

Why the hostility? Probably because we've heard all this scaremongering about weed one too many times, and it always results in some killjoy calling for stricter laws and punishments for possession and distribution. In other words, the failed policy of prohibition.
