Wrt the Catholic Church writing the Bible, I don’t believe I ever saw a Catholic Freeper say such a thing (if they did they are wrong). I believe what they did say was that the Catholic Church decided which books belonged in the Canon. Two different things.

First of all I said I don’t believe I ever saw such a statement. That does not mean it was never said. If you look closer at my post you’ll see that I also said “if they did, they are wrong”. So I certainly left it open that there was a possibility that this was said.
