So, which is it? What/Who is the Rock?

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Thank you Alamo Girl. It was a bit of a rhetorical question.

I know that God is the Rock. Still, Jesus gave the name rock to Simon and that is the discussion. Without God, without Jesus and without the Holy Spirit, Simon is of no import and could do nothing, but in HIM he could do all things.
