I have to say again that I truthfully find that hard to believe. What about, though, what you believe about Jesus. Who do you believe He is, and do you believe He died for our sins?

>>>I have to say again that I truthfully find that hard to believe.<<<

Sometimes the simplest explanations are the correct ones.

>>>What about, though, what you believe about Jesus. Who do you believe He is, and do you believe He died for our sins?<<<

He died for mine; and according to the apostles, for the sins of the whole world. These are a few:

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 Jn 2:2 KJV)

"For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." (Heb 9:26 KJV)

"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool." (Heb 10:12-13 KJV)

"Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:" (Gal 1:4 KJV)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom 5:8 KJV)

One thing that is difficult to grasp for many, is that the Lord who hung on the cross for us, also gave us the Old Testament. This is the Lord speaking to Zechariah:

"…they shall look upon me whom they have pierced…" (Zech 12:10 KJV)

That is humbling.

Philip
