Does not add up to me why He who created iron and wood and Man would allow the creature to Nail the creator to a Cross.

Besides providing a path for our otherwise unattainable reconciliation, it was to answer the inevitable excuse of mankind when faced with God.

“You’re an omnipotent, omniscient being! You don’t know what it’s like being here and experiencing all of the trials and tribulations we human beings go through!”

He did, and He does.

What doesn’t make sense is our not being able to accept a gift so freely given.

I know why.

Because those who can’t accept it believe it’s too easy.

In fact their own attitude proves it’s the most difficult thing in the world to accept.

Because it involves genuine self realization you are inherently bad, your heart is bad, our natural way is to be bad and turn away from God and good, and that you have to really acknowledge you deserve eternal punishment, have to realize there’s nothing you can do on your own to make it right, and let the enormity of THAT sink in, and then sincerely ask what can one do to avoid such punishment? And be grateful God made a way - one way - for everyone - no preference, not easier for one or another - the rich and the poor, makes no difference - you all get there the same way, on your knees with a shattered heart.

Without help from God natural man can’t even accept salvation. He gives us the saving faith in order to believe. He has to. The natural mind can’t get there on its own.

That’s why it’s so difficult to accept what is so freely given.
