He went to Cabo for the holiday weekend!
Hallelujah and Amen.
A very good post. Thank you for it.
But truthfully, I never wondered from childhood, when I was taught the Apostles’ Creed:
“... was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead;...”
“Resurrexi, et adhuc tecum sum, alleluia!”
—Introit, Easter Sunday (Missale Romanum).
Happy Easter to all.
Thanks for posting this. ‘Pod.
How then did he lay in the grave 3 days and 3 nights?
Excellent, thanks for posting.
Shopping at WalMart?
Cleveland, which is kind of like hell. Lake Erie caught fire once, so it already has a “lake of fire”. And Cedar Point, which could be considered a place of torment if you have motion sickness.

That the church would rise up and the gates of Hades could not prevail against it. It was the announcement of the beginning of the Church age
I am opposed to the idea that this is a reference to Satan having power over the church...I believe this is a reference to Paradise, where OT saints went to await the Lord...
Those saints were captives in hell...Jesus went down and ripped the gates from the hinges and all were released as Jesus led them out of there...
I believe those are the gates that would no longer prevail against the church...Instead of being stuck in the ground, Christians now head straight up in the direction of the North Star to ever be with the Lord in heaven...
And with the gates lying on the ground this eliminates any idea of a purgatory...
The Catholics use that verse to claim Satan will have no power over their religion and that their religion because of that verse is infallible...
And as we know, Jesus spent 3 nights there...Huge crowd...
A really helpful post which I enjoyed very much. I agree with all of it and hope that everyone whosoever reads it (just like accepting Jesus’ birth at Christmastime) will just go with it, placing all their trust and dependency for daily living in Jesus the Jewish Messiah as Lord (The Overlord) of all Creation, and follow after Him in every way we can, remembering He is loving and forgiving to everyone who believes in him. And that is you and I.
He is alive and ready to return here when The Father gives the go-ahead.
It’s an unbearable deal for all humanity so very full of sin!
A great study,
thanks for sharing!
He is Risen!
What you posted makes more sense when Jesus after He arose from the grave at first said Do Not Touch Me. Obviously He had and still has the power to be in Heaven or with His followers at an instant but at that point had not yet went into heaven thus touching Him would have defiled Him. At some point before appearing to the Disciples in the room He went into Heaven and thus the sacrifice accepted.
No.
