I will rise in mild contention with you boatbums - *no doubt* the important part is Yeshua's sacrifice, but in that, one has to determine 'who gets to tell the story'... It is my opinion that is what Yeshua was pointing to when he said he would leave but one proof to a wicked (Torah-twisting) generation. That proof authenticates the true story, and untwists the the tale, leaving those who claim authority wallowing in their lie, and it is apparent at once that their claim of authority is laid waste.
And that proof begins and ends with three days and three nights in the ground. First one finds the traditions of men to be false (it's easy - one only needs to be able to count to three)... But then, if one will dig deeper, one will find that the moed, the 'appointment', was perfectly, precisely, and incredibly fulfilled to the finest increment as *TRUE*. One then will be impelled to inquire of the rest of the moedim, the appointments made by YHWH. ok, educate me on how to count to three, but the one condition is what you say has to line up perfectly to what the Scriptures say.
please tell me on what day of “aviv” Yeshua was crucified, died and was buried on ( that has to be the same day and it will count as day one ), then please tell on what day of “aviv” did Yeshua rise from the dead on ( this will be the third day )

Can we get a better source than Yeshua how days are counted?
According to Yeshua, THE THIRD DAY is the day after TOMORROW.
According to Yeshua, TOMORROW is the day after Today.
According to Yeshua, TODAY is day one.
