I would! I never had a "face-to-face" confession to a priest. Not saying they would refuse to do so if you asked, just that it was NOT the usual way it was done. I believe that was really the gist of what was being discussed. This is yet another example of the hair-trigger reaction and rush to judgment of some RCs here who are ever ready to falsely accuse another Christian of lying - especially one who left the RC religion. You didn't. We know it.

I thing I have noticed as much as we can and have disagreed I can think of only one or two incidences who someone has directly contradicted another poster and essentially called them a liar.

You DO understand, don't you, that "essentially" calling someone a liar by disagreeing with them is NOT the same thing as directly calling someone a liar - which you DID and which is what is against the rules? How many times do you have to be reminded to stop making personal comments and making the thread about the person???

You won’t hear about it but the number if advances by both men and women on the priest is supposed to be distressing which is why priests will rarely have face to face with any woman, although myself, son and daughter have - not my wife.

Hmmm....so Metmom wasn't really "not just wrong you are fractally wrong on every level of scale". You admit yourself that face-to-face is NOT the norm and is done "rarely". Will you be apologizing to Metmom anytime soon? She didn't say it was impossible or never available, just that it wasn't usually how it was done. That is a true statement and one which you even confirmed right here. Who is the "liar" now?

No, she was not wrong as you even admitted the same thing! All she did was not expound further on the topic but gave her - and everyone else's experience. You even said you weren't aware of the availability of face-to-face confession at one time. The rest of your PERSONAL attacks against Metmom are ludicrous and spurious and it is more likely that she gets under your skin with the truth of God's word that really bugs you most. You SHOULD apologize for your rantings, but I won't hold my breath. Raving bigots seldom admit they are wrong.
