"Catholic/Orthodox Caucus" means that only believing members of those communions should post on the thread.

I always wondered why the moderator and other writers refer to those groups as 'confessions'. Seems to me communions makes more sense.

I think “confessions” is an older term for “groups with the same beliefs, or close enough.”
