Where else? In Argentina, ¡naturalmente!
From La Voz:
Daughter of two mothers will be baptized in the Cathedral Next Saturday, April 5, Umma Azul will be baptized in the Cathedral [of Córdoba, Province of Córdoba, Argentina] and president Cristina Fernández [de Kirchner] could be the godmother.
She is the daughter of Karina Villarroel and Soledad Ortiz, the two Cordoba women who contracted matrimony a little over a year ago, and regarding whom a controversy came about due to the request for leave [for matrimonial reasons] in the Provincial Police by the first one. [The civil "marriage" of same-sex couples has been legal in Argentina since 2010.] ... Karina and Soledad had to demand the authorization of the Archdiocese. "I had an audience with Archbishop Carlos Ñáñez so that he would give the order, and he confirmed to me that there will be no problem in the Cathedral," she explained. [The Cathedral] Parish priest Carlos Varas will preside at er the ceremony

an abomination. They have turned the Father’s house into a den of iniquity!
Well, now. Rome is joining the PC world. Gotta keep the cash flowing.
They will break up within a year, and it will all be done.
It seems to me like the same logic ought to apply to this lesbian couple. There is probably a church out there that would baptize the baby, but it should not be the Catholic church.
BTW, for those who are curious, my aunt and uncle agreed to get married in the Catholic church but they were prevented from doing so since she was Lutheran. She refused to convert and eventually they found a priest who married them, just not in the sanctuary but in the sacristy. Then the boy was baptized and he was enrolled in kindergarten.
Yeah, this crap never happens in Protestant denominations.
Somebody needs to put up the famous photo of Pope John Paul 2 yelling at some South American liberation theologist priest back in the 1980s!
Would any church deny baptism to a child because of the sin of the parents?
“Daughters of two mothers”
Impossible.
If I lived in Cordoba I would personally disrupt the “confirmation” of the two women.
What church? Not the Roman Catholic, is it?
Isn’t Argentina the place from which Pope Francis hails?
Can. 868 §1. For an infant to be baptized licitly:1/ the parents or at least one of them or the person who legitimately takes their place must consent;
2/ there must be a founded hope that the infant will be brought up in the Catholic religion; if such hope is altogether lacking, the baptism is to be delayed according to the prescripts of particular law after the parents have been advised about the reason.
These women are not Catholic. The Church in Argentina is being used as a platform for promotion of the homosexual agenda. The child should be baptized, of course, but the politicization is a disgrace.
No, the Sacrament should be delayed until the child lives with a real Catholic family, or becomes an adult.
Homosexuals: Turning children into property with owner certificates.
So now, being a Catholic is about as morally contrary as being a Republican. Claims to be one thing, but functionally serves the opposite cause.
What if she died in the interim?
Traditional Catholics such as myself and many others here are the same as they always were, by definition. In addition, this is an Argentinian aberration (some may argue the pope is as well — I haven’t made up my mind).
I am going by canon law, as you can see. That eventuality was taken into account. God has Mercy.
So, I take it that you have never witnessed a Catholic Baptismal.
If you had borne witness you would realize that the priest asks the parents for their reasons for the child's baptismal, specifically outlines the parents duties to raise the child in accordance to the tenets of the faith and to swear so before God and the congregation.
The same is demanded of the God parents.
Those promises are impossible for a homosexual couple to keep and a faithful priest should know this.
Hope you don't think it's a mere matter of sprinkling a bit of water, a magical waving of the hands, and an incantation.
