The Church decides morality. Advocacy for something to apply to politicians voting is political.
If a politician behaves or votes in a way that is seriously unjust, that makes him a serious sinner.
A person who is involved in public, serious sin must not be given Communion.
It’s that simple.
So you take the position that the Nazis took:
Anyone in the Church who said, “You should not be gassing the retarded,” was told to “stay out of politics.”
You position on this is the Nazi position.
You do recognize that, don’t you?
So you are saying that there is no such thing as an immoral law?
There is no such thing as an immoral action by the State?
Putting Jews in ovens was done by the government—which makes it a “political” act. Therefore, according to you, it is illegitimate for anyone to say that putting Jews in ovens is immoral.
