If America is not the great city Babylon described in Revelation 18, I would be very surprised.
I have seen that expressed before, and the arguments against it generally have to do with that city being identified in such a way that excludes America.
It’s not ... As the Bible’s comparisons and descriptions for that “symbol” do not match up.
Since it is a great city, why would it be America?
I would be surprised if Babylon in Revelation 17-18 is not ... Babylon.
I think the key might be Rev. 11:8, where the “great city” is identified as the one where the Lord was slain. In Rev 17:18, Babylon is also called “that great city”. So, to me they are one and the same, Babylon is the future Jerusalem, where the Beast sets up his capital.
