Erin Go Bye: Two Beer Makers Exit St. Patrick's Parades

The makers of Sam Adams and Heineken beer say they are withdrawing their sponsorship of St. Patrick's Day parades because organizers exclude gay groups.

Boston Beer Co., Sam Adam's brewer, said in a statement Friday that it is disappointed that an agreement couldn't be reached between the gay rights advocacy group MassEquality and Boston parade organizers that would have allowed gay veterans to march.

Meanwhile, Heineken USA said it was withdrawing from the New York City parade, and told CNBC on Friday: "We believe in equality for all. We are no longer a sponsor of Monday's parade."

The decisions came a day after a bar in Boston's South End said it would no longer serve Sam Adams beer because of the brewer's affiliation with the parade, which is scheduled for Sunday.

“St. Patrick was a Catholic saint, was he not? Are Catholics now required to go along with sodomy?”

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER! no more phone calls please!

Yes Saint Patrick was a Catholic saint. The Homos think everyone should go along with sodomy.

I’m Christian, not Catholic, formerly lived as a lesbian until the Lord delivered me, and I don’t drink. What I’m wondering is why is it that Christians for the most part just accept or even approve of wrong things, while you have even corporations “standing on their ‘principles’”?

Equality for all means no more themed parades for anyone?

Heterosexuals are excluded by definition from the GLBTQXPBN crowd’s events. They are not in the “title”.

Gay bullies march on.

Waha Grill page bookmarked. Thank you for the post.

Highly disappointed, though not the least bit surprised, to see Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac involved with nglcc or whatever the hell it’s called.

Because too many Christians confuse "turning the other cheek" and "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" with surrender. We aren't called to surrender. We're called to stand up for Christ.

A question for believers and not secular humanists..

How is our world’s ‘Irish pride parades’ ,’Black pride’, ‘German pride’, ‘Italian pride’, ‘White pride’, ‘Team pride’ , or ‘whatever pride’ any different to Our Sovereign than ‘gay pride’ ?

Doesnt He hate all haughtiness - Proverbs 6?

Enjoy the pride parades people ! sarc

“We all need to write to these brewers to explain to them why we’re no longer drinking their beers.”

You can leave a comment on the Sam Adams website. I did. I will pass along the response when and if I get one.
