All I said was that “I would think that a good rule of thumb is that selfishness probably doesn’t go over very well.” That's not arrogant or definitive. It's a statement of opinion. And yes, I clearly don't know what God wants to hear in a prayer. My relationship to God is mine, yours is yours, and I wouldn't presume to tell you how that should be approached or the nature of it.
