I’m not arguing with you. Just trying to rephrase it as I don’t think technology has anything to do with the morals.
“Just trying to rephrase it as I dont think technology has anything to do with the morals.”
Me neither. But it might to someone who thinks it’s some sort of self-defense in the case of rape.
Freegards
May I expound on your statement, “Very few people (including blacks) will adopt a black baby”?
The truth is, very few people adopt children. Of these people who do adopt, many adopt children of all colors and health circumstances. We as well as many others waited awhile for our children of color or special needs to come home.
No, the baby can be put up for adoption. As far as carrying the baby for 9 months, YES. Unfortunate for the very rare occurrence of pregnancy from rape, but the baby human being is not responsible, has done nothing wrong, and doesn’t deserve to be murdered.
A pregnant woman does not OWN that child. The child is not hers to dispose of, like some piece of trash. The baby is an individual human being, created by God, having a RIGHT TO LIFE.
A person loses a leg in a drunk driver car accident. It’s not his fault, but he must suffer the loss of his leg the rest of his life. Unfortunate, yet things happen. You deal with it, move on.
With this pregnancy, after 9 months it’s over, if you opt for adoption. If not, you will be rewarded with the love of a child for the rest of your life.
Either way, a human life is saved for someone to love and be loved. Isn’t that worth the 9 months of walking around?
You don’t get a “do over”. An abortion doesn’t eliminate the rape event. It still happened. Now you are going to add “murder” to the rape? How does that “fix” anything? You’ll remember for the rest of your life, the day you murdered your child, especially on the anniversaries of their death.
“He would have been one today. He would be starting school today. He would be graduating this year. He might have been married by now. I might have grandchildren by now. He could have been coming over today to celebrate his birthday with me, bringing his spouse and all the grandchildren.
What did I do?
My wife and I would love to adopt a baby. We’ve been told it would cost $20,000 or so. Not something we can really handle at this point.
You may be right as a general rule and among the general population but among F.R. members, there are a lot of us.
That tells me a lot about conservative values as opposed to liberals.
I am willing to share what I have gleamed over the past many years regarding the logistics of domestic adoption. Feel free to freep mail if you/your wife have questions.
Currently adopted children comprise 2% of the US population.
We do run across more adoptive families among Christians and conservatives, praise be to God!
No. Abortion is murder. Regardless of the rape, let the woman have the baby and then offer it for adoption.
Really sick post here.
I was illustrating the absudity of the guy’s argument.
This “pastor” is quite ill-informed. HOW a child is conceived doesn’t determine IF that child has an intrinsic right to life. The Roe v. Wade decision was started by a false claim of pregnancy by rape and once that was determined to be an acceptable reason to abort under the woman’s right to privacy, the wall was broken down so that, today ALL pregnancies can be aborted based solely on the decision of the mother. Abortion through all nine months, for any reason, is now the law of the land here. The demonic advocates of child murder will not be satisfied until the whole world is like the U.S. We have MUCH to be ashamed of!
I agree. ALL life is precious. Conception doesn’t happen by accident. God opens and closes the womb.
Well said.
Yours is the best post on this thread.
“It is never mentioned anywhere in the Bible, to keep a child from a woman who was raped!”
Thou shall not kill pretty much covers it.
Have the baby and seek to have someone adopt it.
