Plenty of men and women in the 18th and 19th century were buried in the same plot. Especially close friends. Lincoln slept with men and it’s a documented fact.
Was he a homosexual? I don’t think Lincoln was a homosexual and anymore than I think Newman was. It used to be possible to have close friends of the same sex with being considered homosexual. Newman started living a celibate life at the age of 15, when he was an Angelican.
