Perhaps the result of opining and calling it thinking....
Part of it may be due to the fact that JimRob has made clear that he doesn't care for people who argue against creationism, and thus doesn't want to get into discussions which might result in being banned.
I'm among those think the idea that the earth was created somewhere around 4000bc is very doubtful. Particularly since the scenario involves the idea that Noah's Flood happened around 2500BC (give or take a few centuries depending on what source you look at), leaving the earth to be re-populated from the contents of the Ark. Since, around that time, there were already established civilizations in Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, and China, with large populations and written records, it sounds pretty unlikely.
But I have better things to do than get into long arguments with people who's viewpoints will not be changed, and who will just disbelieve any data which would act to contradict the Biblical timeline, so I won't participate in Creationist arguments any more.
