John Henry Newman knew the Bible inside and out and was England’s leading theologian when he decided to become a Catholic. He was hated all over England for the rest of his life because he spoke the truth about the Christian faith. Hopefully one day soon he’ll be a canonized saint.

No he didn't. He didn't know this one:

"... call none your father upon earth; for one is your father, who is in heaven." (Matthew 23:9, DRA)

If, by chance, he did know that verse, then he was an arrogant little dweeb who joined the Catholics because he was not getting enough praise to satisfy his inflated ego.
