The DIFFERENCE between RCC abuse and Protestant abuse is the FACT that ROME declares the ability to retain or remit the sins of her followers. Thereby putting the abuse victim at the hands of a PRIEST in order to have their sins forgiven on their "road to salvation". Protestants have no such claim on her followers. DON"T YOU GET IT YET??!
Percentage wise there is more sexual abuse in protestant faiths than Catholicism. Don’t make me give you the stats. And no other Pope in history did more to clean up the Catholic Church and weed out, AND GET RID OF, sexual abusers than Pope Benedict.
The anti-Catholic crowd are so blind, deluded by heresy, and devoid of love for others, that they rush to embrace as fonts of truth the very same media that constantly mocks Christ whenever that media attacks a Christian said anti-Catholic doesn't agree with, Catholics in particular.
We Christians pray for such lost sheep who are so bereft of Christian insight that they dance to media tunes.
Imagine those children who have been taught from the first time they could understand that the priest held their eternal life in their hands. The insidious evil those priests perpetrated is beyond comprehension.
Catholics trying to minimize the situation is stunning. The cultish power that the RCC has over its followers is pervasive and evil. Just the fact that the RCC has tolerated even one half of the allegations should alert the followers that it is not what it purports to be.
The sacrament of Penance has absolutely nothing to do with abuse.
