I’m a conservative yet I know that liberals believe differently. They are happy to hate me as I am them. Neither expects to convert the other. My spiritual beliefs are personal. I feel no need to convert anyone. I am offended by those that try to convert me.

My family has recently begun attending a new church for us. The pastor speaks in a way which conveys unmistakable truths. The pastor also has a daily radio show of his sermons on stations across the country. In case anyone should wonder, he seems not to have any pride or inflated ego about this radio exposure. Last Sunday we attended the Welcome Luncheon whereby newcomers like us were invited to learn more about this church and its ministries. Several people had heard the radio show and had decided to try this church. Three people in a row were brought almost to tears to have been able to find a church being led by this man who was clearly inspired by God himself and the Holy Bible. Those who reach this point in life when they find God and know his word to be true are very fortunate indeed. I know that is how I feel. Even a young person, like this little girl, can be in this position. I would hope and pray that her parents will one day cross into the same glorious place.

Gorush: "My spiritual beliefs are personal. I feel no need to convert anyone. I am offended by those that try to convert me."

Are you not in agreement with Jesus, then, who in the middle of His ministry sent his 72 disciples out two by two, to preach conversion throughout Judea and Galilee? Are you in agreement with the Risen Christ, who said "Go out and make disciples of all nations"?

Sincerely --- you've met "that" Jesus, haven't you?

I can assure you, I don't hate you and I'm not trying to convert you to anything. I was trying to have a conversation with you. Many times, when someone has become disillusioned with something, talking with someone else can help introduce you to something maybe you hadn't thought of before. The Holy Spirit is the one that does the converting, I certainly can't. I was 43 when I was born again, so I can identify with someone who thought a certain way for most of his adult life only to find out late in life how mistaken I was on many subjects.

I would hate for you to go though your entire life agnostic and never know a life in Christ. Believe me, there is no hate here. I realize it a journey you must go through yourself, in your own way. I hope that doesn't mean no one can ever talk to you about it.
