Surprisingly enough, contrary to popular opinion, many Puritans were not only pro-Israel, but also presumed a Zionist pre-millennial kingdom as predicted by both the Old and New Testaments. Such views were often repressed by their brothers in Christ and by government officials. King James himself considered Puritan Zionism a threat to his own kingdom. I agree with most of the Westminster Confession, but find their eschatology so general that it is very unhelpful, and I am not the only one who believes as much. It is not that it says anything wrong, but that it leaves so much out.
There are many other eschatological details and prophetic portions of the Scriptures outside the rapture that the Westminster Confession does not even begin to discuss.
