We know that is false and will not fall for such a blatant ruse."
Ah, stating facts is a "ruse". That's a new low.
Particularly when included in a mind reading exercise attributing motives not in evidence to the individual who posted the article as well as to others.
The remarks are directed to the author of the article, not the poster of it. Authors are fair game for personal attacks, mind reading, etc.
Assuming conjecture is "fact" is the low - though it's not new, especially here. I don't need to mind read to state empirically that the threads posted by matthewrobertolson have been in support of his stated intention to "Answering Protestants" and, with these "answers", prove that only the Roman Catholic Church is the one, true, church to which ALL Christians must join. That I called him on this ploy - that of concluding anyone who is pro-life MUST leave their church for the RCC - is what is being disputed rather than the TRUTH that many "Protestant" churches are every bit as pro-life as the Catholic Church proclaims it is. Evangelical "assemblies" (because that really IS what a church means) have been at the forefront of Right to Life organizations, Crisis Pregnancy Centers, post-abortion counseling groups and homes for unwed pregnant women. It wouldn't be smart to presume ONLY the RCC is doing that - in fact, it would be a ruse. Like I said:
It's an attempt to persuade them that ONLY the Roman Catholic Church has consistency on this subject (though only a minority actually follows the church's dictates) and that this one issue is enough to conclude that it must be right about everything else. We know that is false and will not fall for such a blatant ruse.
