When Joey comes back will he have groupies or get married to a bunch of women in a mass marriage ceremony?

Well, while you may have asked this Q in jest, once the Mormon jesus returns...don't be surprised that it could happen.

I have in my hand a 1979 published "Mormon Doctrine" book by Lds "apostle" Bruce McConkie. The book was originally published in 1958, but was directed by Lds "prophet" David O. McKay to be revised in 1966.

McConkie made the changes after McKay assigned Lds first counselor Marion G. Romney to review the book, and assigned first counselor -- later to be named "prophet" -- Spencer W. Kimball...to serve as McConkie's "mentor" during the revision process.

So, what I'm saying is this book was reviewed for "OK" status (in its revision state) by two Lds "prophets" -- plus was published later by the Lds Church book publisher Deseret.

So on p. 578, McConkie writes:

"Obviously the holy practice [entry is under "Plural Marriage" category] will commence again after the Second Coming of the Son of Man and the ushering in of the millennium."

So, what about all that PR that Mormons have put away polygamy? (Hey, they're just "biding their time" waiting for Smith & the Mormon jesus to return!)

You know what’s really weird?

Today we see polygamy being promoted on TV like you wouldn’t believe.

According to a WND article a rabbi from long ago (about 900 years ago) predicted that the Messiah (the real one) would show up around 2017.

In good old-fashioned Judaism the rabbis allow a Jewish man to have up to 18 wives. This is based upon the commandment for a king not to have an excess amount of wives. The rabbis asked what constituted an excessive amount and the they found was the one above. About a 1000 years ago a rabbi in Europe put a ban on polygamy because of the growth of Christianity and how it promoted monogamy.

It’s very possible that these LDS “prophets” could be correct. With the timing of the promotion of polygamy today and the Messsiah showing up just around the corner it’s possible we could see the rabbinical ban being removed by Messiah. I am of the opinion that the Mormons are biding their time. Once the Messiah declares polygamy kosher again the Mormons will be off to the races to do the same!
