Your confusion stems from not paying attention to the flow of the scriptures.

You failed to comprehend verse 10:

"And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Clearly God is not judging or avenging, or do you reject that verse?

I think not. They just didn’t understand God’s purpose in His judgment of the inhabitants of earth at the time. Verse 10 in no way indicates that God was not already judging the unbelievers.

The Great Tribulation ia a time of discipline for Israel for not relying on His Providence, but rather upon a covenant with the AntiChrist.

It’s easier to understand as one understands the most basic doctrines of Christianity, such as the doctrine of the Trinity.
