To: Faith Presses On

i think it’s sad for so many to have to work.

i think for travellers i can understand certain businesses being open, if nothing else for safety reasons. but for people to just do non-essential shopping, or get gifts they somehow just couldn’t plan to get days, weeks or months before,....no.

Lotta different definitions of “essential” - I don’t work on Christmas, and I don’t shop on Christmas - would really not like to do either - but not my decision on what is “essential” for others….

Hospitals, fire departments, airplanes, police stations… all sorts of things are open on holidays. My folks worked every holiday to give others time off to be with their families. We always found a way to celebrate.

I guess it’s sad for them to have to work, but then it’s even sadder if they have no work.

If they can stay open on Sundays they can stay open on holidays. Not everyone in America is a Christian.

Boy do we know that.
