I'm not a Catholic, but thinking about the headline makes me want to ask, "So what if he did?" It's a Vatican council, is it not? And, the Pope is the big-guy over the Vatican. I'm not familiar with Vatican bylaws and rules, but I'm confident there is nothing in there about 'Good Morning America,' having a vote in the goings. Maybe the GMA team should drink a nice Italian roast blend of mind-your-own-prissy-business.
Never mind that the report sounds like a bucket of crap and may simply not be true.

Yeah, the hypeventilating left, systematically misrepresenting Pope Francis' words, deeds and intentions --- and aided and abetted by their dde facto allies, the hyperventilating right.

But it says he WAS head of the Vatican’s highest court. That is false. The reporting is false.

Pure wordplay on Life News' part. The pope
did remove Cardinal Burke from the Congregation for Bishops which oversees the process for the selection of bishops in Europe, the Americas and Oceania and the pope
did elevate Cardinal Wuerl to the same Council.
The author should be ashamed of his biased journalism for not even mentioning Donna Wuerl.

American Catholic bishops and their failure to excommunicateDonna Wuerl is the Queen of the above Bishops and Pope Francis personally picked him to help vet future bishops.
Wuerl is diametrically opposed to Cardianl Burke in terms of holding up Canon law. I think this Pope is also adverse to upholding Canon law.

AS usual, they got their facts wrong. Cardinal Burke remains head of the highest court and hold numerous other positions The pope reduced the size of an advisory council, and installed the American who is in charge of the new Anglican use project in the USA.

Dear Mrs. Don-o,
The right is not hyperventilating to note that three prelates who insist on orthodoxy in action as well as words were removed from the Congregation for Bishops while Wuerl was added.
My parish is in the Archdiocese of Washington. Having seen him up close and personal, I can tell you, he talks a good game, but many of his actions (and failures to act) undermine orthodoxy in the Church.
He makes Cardinal McCarrick look like a saint.

It’s been happening since his election. He’s on a mission to “make a mess” out there! Look at Fr. Volpi! Look at Monsignor Battista Ricca!
Pope Benedict lamented the “filth” in the Church. Pope Francis embraces it!

Does anyone actually think Pope Francis would hold it against a Bishop for denying Communion to pro-abort politicians?
Knee-jerk reactions drive me nuts.
