The overwhelming sense of Scripture is that prayers are directed to God in Heaven.

Yet catholics have chosen to pray also to other entities in Heaven. That's a contradiction in my view.

We ask (”pray” from old English) the saints in heaven to pray to God for us, just as we may ask the saints on earth to. We are all part of the Body of Christ.

That's a contradiction in my view.

And that will remain the source of our disagreement. I am basing my argument on 2000 years of Church teaching back to the Deposit of Faith given by Christ to His Church. You have your opinion. If you care to learn more, there are numerous resources available to you. I will not convince you so there is no reason to continue. Good day and may God bless you.
